We will be starting our 2026/27 flu vaccination programme from 1 October 2026.
Eligible patients can book their flu vaccination by calling the practice or booking online. Where possible, the practice will also send eligible patients a text message with a self-booking link.
Flu vaccination appointments will be available with our nursing team Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. GP and other clinicians are also able to give you the vaccination if you are coming to see them.
Children’s Flu Vaccinations
Children become eligible for flu vaccination from September.
- The practice will be vaccinating children aged 2 to 3 years. Please book an appointment with our nursing team for the nasal flu vaccination.
- School-aged children will normally receive their flu vaccination through the school immunisation programme.
- If a school-aged child misses their vaccination at school, parents should contact the school nursing team regarding local catch-up clinics.
Pregnant Patients
Pregnant women are eligible for a flu vaccination from September. You can book a flu vaccination appointment with our nursing team from September onwards.
Housebound Patients
Arrangements for vaccinating housebound patients are currently being finalised.
If you are registered as housebound, please do not contact the practice to arrange your flu vaccination at this stage. We will contact eligible housebound patients directly once arrangements have been confirmed.
Where possible, patients who are able to attend the surgery with support from a family member, friend or carer are encouraged to do so.
Invitations and Reminders
Where possible, eligible patients will receive an invitation by text message with a self-booking link.
During the vaccination campaign, you may receive more than one invitation or reminder. This is normal and helps us ensure that all eligible patients have the opportunity to book their vaccination.
COVID-19 Vaccinations
Eligible patients will be offered their COVID-19 vaccination through local pharmacies/chemists.
For eligible housebound patients, the practice will arrange for a local pharmacy/chemist to provide the COVID-19 vaccination at home.
Further information will be provided to eligible patients when arrangements are confirmed.
